OVERVIEW
This course
takes place onsite as well as offsite. The onsite portion of this course
occurs over 5-6 days.The onsite sessions will have a strong focus on
basic and advanced hypnotic techniques , counseling skills and other
complementary approaches. There is a strong focus on the works of Dr.
Milton Erickson as well as a strong practical component.Students will
be completing Counseling through distance learning. Also during and
after the onsite sessions students will view video CD's containing further
instruction and actual sessions.
The Practicum
is the last part of the course. Here the student has an opportunity
under indirect supervision to put their skills to the test. During this
time the student works with 5 clients completing 5 sessions with each
client and videotaping 1 session with 1 client. They must also complete
an open book exam. If the work is satisfactory the student receives
a certificate as a Resident Hypnotherapist from the Orca Institute.

Who
should attend?
The intent of
this course is to provide the student with the hypnotherapy and counseling
skills necessary to be in private practice or as complement to an existing
practice in the health care field. It is very experientially oriented
and includes a broad spectrum of therapeutic approaches. To learn more
